Chelsey Nething-Hoffman

I joined the staff at Tomah School of Childhood in August 2023. I graduated with my Associate degree in Administration in 2016 from Mid-State Technical College in Stevens Point and am working on my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education at UW Superior. My previous experience includes working as a teacher assistant at a daycare for 10+ years. I also worked in an office for 6 years in both auto insurance and Medicaid billing. Most recently I was a Special Ed aide and a school bus driver for TASD. I have also owned an in-home daycare. My husband and I have four children (17, 15, 7, and 6). We have a small hobby farm outside of town with horses, cats, a donkey, chickens, ducks and a turkey.

Holly Larson

4K Teacher

I began my education as a student at the Tomah School of Childhood and am excited to be back for my 3rd year as the 4K teacher! Previously I taught kindergarten and 4K in the Sparta School District for 27 years. Seeing children develop a love of learning through exploration, discovery and play is a magical sight!

My family and I love cooking together, playing games, golfing, watching sports of all kinds and relaxing up north. My husband, Greg, and I have 3 amazing boys - Jakob (25) serves in the National Guard and is a police officer in the city of Sparta; Isaac (18) loves performing with show choir and theatre, and is starting his freshman year in college at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE; and Patrick (15) loves all things jazz related and performing on stage.

Linda Mesner

4K Assistant Teacher

I have been a part of the TSC staff for 28 years. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have worked in both the 3K and 4K classrooms. I have 2 grown married children, a son Brett, and a daughter Casey. I also have a granddaughter, Sydney. Both of my kids attended Tomah School of Childhood. I am a huge sports fanatic!

Francisca Rigsby

3K Teacher

I have been part of the TSC staff for 16 years, and have worked with children for over 28 years. After 28 years I still get excited to go to work and spend time helping the kids grow and learn. I am married to my husband of 32 years and we have two kids, my son Dirk (30), and my daughter Sari (27). I also have a grandson, Rory. I love spending time with my family, cooking, baking and going outdoors for walks, hikes & running.

Mary Thompson

Aftercare Teacher

I began my teaching career in 2021 at a local preschool. Before teaching, I was a registered nurse with experience in OB/GYN, Hospice, and CBRF Nurse management. I received my associate's associate's degree in early childhood education in April 2024 and am continuing to earn a bachelor's in childhood studies. I worked as a substitute last year in the aftercare room at the Tomah School of Childhood and am very excited to take on the position of aftercare teacher full-time. I love seeing the excitement of children when they are learning. I have been married to my husband Ron for 20 years, and we have an 18-year-old daughter named Joyce. In my free time I enjoy reading, crocheting, and diamond painting.
